Job summary

Oversonic Robotics Srl is seeking a Robotics Engineer focused on teleoperation, robot control, and realtime motion pipelines for humanoid robots. You will build VR-based, low-latency teleoperation systems linking operators to humanoid robots via VR controllers, motion tracking, video streaming, and control interfaces.

The role supports VLA, RL and imitation learning datasets, and works with AI/ML, motion/control, simulation, and mechanical design teams in a hybrid setup in Italy.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in robotics, automation, CS, mechatronics or related field.
• 2+ years experience in robotics, teleoperation or VR/AR systems.
• Strong Python skills with real-time system debugging.
• Familiarity with robot control, motion capture, IK, retargeting.
• Understanding of latency, bandwidth and distributed debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and iterate teleoperation pipelines for humanoid robots in simulation and real world.
• Integrate VR controllers, HMDs, and motion tracking systems like Oculus Quest.
• Develop realtime motion retargeting from human to robot kinematics and safety limits.
• Implement low-latency pipelines for commands, feedback, video and motion data.
• Validate teleoperation performance under latency and bandwidth conditions.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, motion/control, sim, and mechanical design teams.
• Support datasets for VLA, RL and imitation learning pipelines.
