Oversonic Robotics in Milano is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core backend systems for our humanoid robot cognitive platform. You will tackle real-time communication, distributed processing, and high-performance computing to power the robot's brain.

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of professional Backend Software Engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and concurrent programming (asyncio, multithreading, multiprocessing).
• Experience designing distributed systems and real-time comms using WebSockets and Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Docker and Git and databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs using Python.
• Implement and optimize concurrent systems using asyncio, multithreading, and/or multiprocessing.
• Architect and build robust distributed systems components.
• Develop and manage real-time communication channels using WebSockets and Pub/Sub (e.g., MQTT, NATS, Redis Pub/Sub).
• Write clean, efficient, testable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, robotics engineers, and infrastructure teams.
• Optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure system reliability.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes/Helm for containerization/orchestration.
• Contribute to database design and management (noSQL and SQL).
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines when possible.
