GENERAL ROLE

The Visual Merchandising Manager will guarantee the image of the Maison in the stores, ensuring that VM is appealing, inspiring emotion, and supporting sales development. Reporting to the Retail Merchandising Director, they will work closely with store managers and the retail team, liaising with the communication department and the central team in Paris. They will manage a team of 4 VM in-store and animate the community of VM ambassadors. The network includes 11 stores in Italy and 1 in Greece, based in Milan, with travel required across Italy and Greece.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic and Creative Vision
  2. Define VM activity calendar, including monthly team coordination, in-store VM animations, product rotations, and launches.
  3. Collaborate closely with in-store VM to ensure appealing and inspiring VM; ensure implementation of VM guidelines for consistency.
  4. Share best practices across VM and sales teams, ensuring timely launch and promotion of new collections and products.
  5. Work with communication and merchandising teams on window product selection, contributing to regional commercial success.
  6. Align VM with business and product strategies, maximize sales, and adapt VM to store and client specificities.
  7. Participate in buying campaigns, providing vision on assortment and VM.

  2. Lead, develop, and inspire a team of in-store VM; promote VM awareness among stakeholders.
  3. Maintain extensive product and VM guideline knowledge, share best practices.
  4. Organize team planning, animate VM community, and foster a VM culture.
  5. Establish as a central contact point and source of inspiration within the retail network, sharing VM reports and best practices internationally.

  2. Participate in store openings and animations, bringing expertise in space planning and product needs.
  3. Propose zoning improvements, advise on store zoning and product space for new stores, and plan VM animations and scenography with external suppliers.
  4. Manage VM budget, including materials, activities, and annual planning.

PROFILE

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in art, design, fashion, visual merchandising, or management.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility, creative, detail-oriented.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a multi-store VM role with complex assortments.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and influence skills.
  • Analytical, strategic, problem-solving mindset, hands-on attitude.
  • Service-oriented, flexible to travel, IT proficient.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; French is a strong advantage.
