Position Summary: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University has an opening for a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor position. This is a one-year appointment for the 2024-2025 academic year. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. The appointment begins in August 2024.
The primary responsibilities include teaching up to 12 contact hours per semester with typically two to three preparations. Courses of interest include undergraduate core courses in thermal-fluid sciences and design, and introductory courses for freshmen in solid modeling and programming.
The candidate must hold an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite.
