About the job

Sanofi Manufacturing & Supply has around 12 manufacturing sites per Region, grouped into clusters of 2 or 5 sites. The Head of Cluster Facility Management is responsible for driving integrated facility service delivery performance, supplier management, implementing best practices, and standardizing procedures across the cluster.

This department is part of Global Engineering, supporting M&S sites.

Main responsibilities
Directly
  • Develop and optimize recipes for AVI machines used for vials/ampoules: lyophilized, liquid, suspension products.
  • Support FAT-SAT, qualification, and PQ activities for AVI.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot vision system issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors, global SMEs, and engineering teams to minimize false rejects in AVI processes.
Drive
  • Train and mentor staff on visual inspection programs, including recipe creation, tuning, troubleshooting, and management.
  • Implement best practices and standardize procedures across the cluster.
  • Collaborate with process experts and quality teams to ensure AVI process compliance with global standards and regulations.
  • Support safety and quality initiatives.
Provide
  • Assist in new product launches and capacity expansions, including vendor selection, maintenance planning, design modifications, change controls, OEE, and yield improvements.
Manage
  • Lead root cause investigations for technical issues.
About you
Experience
  • Experience working with visual inspection equipment in a pharmaceutical cGMP environment or equivalent.
Skills
  • Proficiency with Windows OS and application software for inspection machines.
  • Experience diagnosing PLC and SCADA networks.
  • Experience repairing camera vision systems.
  • Knowledge of electric motor drives from Hitachi, Danfoss, Omron, Siemens, ABB.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to review technical documentation for GMP compliance.
  • Deep understanding of GMP and CMC requirements, regulatory dossier preparation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary, multicultural environments and transformation programs.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally if required.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
Languages
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
