JOB TITLE: Vessel Field Engineer

BUSINESS LINE: Asset Based Services (no Drilling)

DEPARTMENT/FUNCTION: VECOP/Offshore Operations

Position Overview

As a Vessel Field Engineer, you will be part of the VECOP/Offshore Operations department within the Asset Based Services business line. Your activities will include:

  1. Providing engineering services to the Project Manager or Offshore Construction Manager to support project objectives according to project plans and procedures.
  2. Working closely with the Offshore Construction Supervisor and other team members.
  3. Performing assigned tasks, supporting onboard activities, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  4. Applying engineering procedures during construction activities.
  5. Monitoring construction and installation progress to ensure quality standards.
  6. Managing daily progress reports and performance evaluations of subcontractors.
  7. Collaborating with project personnel and onboard staff for smooth operations.
  8. Supervising onshore construction activities related to offshore installations.
  9. Monitoring naval fleet activities and collaborating with client technical representatives.
  10. Conducting technical verifications and preparing installation and maintenance documentation as required.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Naval, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • English language proficiency at B2 level.
  • 0 to 1.5 years of experience, preferably in offshore Oil & Gas or construction/engineering sectors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Soft skills include resilience, stress management, and ability to work in multicultural environments.
Preferred Skills
  • 2-3 years of experience in offshore Oil & Gas or construction/engineering sectors.
  • Experience outside maritime careers.
Location and Career Path

Willingness to start an offshore career on a construction vessel for 3-5 years, with potential progression to project engineering roles or office-based positions worldwide. Work involves rotation shifts.
