Purpose of the Position

The Vessel Equipment Engineer will be part of the Asset Based Services business line, responsible for maintaining and managing vessel equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and control of mechanical production equipment.
  • Ensure equipment efficiency and prepare maintenance plans with spare parts.
  • Manage the deck mechanic team, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
  • Provide training to personnel and supervise maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure work safety and quality standards.
  • Define maintenance priorities and schedules.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure vessel self-sufficiency.
  • Prepare equipment for project operations and preservation during standby periods.
  • Oversee equipment packing and preservation at project completion.
  • Report incidents and near-misses.
  • Conduct safety talks and job safety analyses as needed.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 3-5 years in relevant field

Technical Skills: Ability to use maintenance management software

Additional Information

Willingness to work offshore on rotation, both nationally and internationally.
