Prada Group is seeking an IT Technical Specialist to join the IT Infrastructure team in Milan, owning the Windows server environment that supports core operations.

You will install, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers, manage this perimeter autonomously, and ensure availability, security and performance. The role reports to the IT Solutions Deployment & DBA Manager.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 5 years in system administration or IT infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows OS and Windows Server.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V; Linux knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in Italian and English; able to work independently.

• Monitor system performance and availability, resolve incidents, apply patches and security measures.
• Implement and test backup and restore procedures for data integrity and DR capabilities.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an IT Technical Specialist to join the IT Infrastructure team in Milan, taking ownership of the Windows server environment that supports the company's operations.

This is a hands‑on technical role: you will install, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers hosted on-premise, ensuring their availability, security and performance. You will manage this perimeter autonomously, so the ability to work independently and take ownership of day‑to‑day operations is key. The role reports to the IT Solutions Deployment & DBA Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, maintain and decommission physical and virtual servers, with a focus on Windows Server environments, including provisioning, resource allocation, user accounts and permissions.
• Monitor system performance and availability, promptly identifying and resolving incidents, and apply patches, updates and security measures to ensure reliability and integrity.
• Implement and regularly test backup and restore procedures, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of system configurations, procedures, diagrams and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of systems and technologies, and coordinate internal and external partners on infrastructure activities.
• Liaise with vendors for hardware and software procurement, technical support and licence management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.

2 to 5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure roles; industry background is not a determining factor.

Strong hands‑on knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server, together with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V); knowledge of Linux is a plus.

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.

Familiarity with monitoring tools (CheckMK, PRTG), asset management tools (Ivanti LANDesk) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a strong plus.

Full professional proficiency in Italian and English is required.

Ability to work independently with ownership and accuracy, strong methodological approach and attention to detail, combined with a team‑player attitude and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

RAL: From 38.000 Annual Salary Gross
