Job Opportunity: Flight Test Engineer

Leonardo, an international industrial group and a leader in Aerospace, Defense, and Security, is seeking a Flight Test Engineer for our Venegono headquarters.

As part of the Test & Evaluation unit, the successful candidate will oversee specific flight test engineering activities throughout the testing process, including:

1. Sharing qualification and certification plans for equipment, subsystems, and systems with engineering teams or external units for full aircraft flight tests.
2. Analyzing and sharing technical requirements for flight experiments, ensuring compatibility and safety.
3. Designing flight test programs supporting development, qualification, and certification phases.
4. Preparing and managing flight testing activities, including configuring test setups, instrumentation, risk analysis, and documentation.
5. Providing specialist support during operational phases of experimental activities.
6. Processing, analyzing, and validating test data using specific tools and methods.
7. Producing preliminary and final test reports.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.

Technical Skills: Specialization in avionics systems.

Behavioral Skills: Autonomy, quick learning, problem-solving, teamwork, motivation, interest in experimentation, determination, critical thinking, and balance.

Language Skills: Good command of written and spoken English (B2/C1 level).

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Matlab.

Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
