We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the design of F1 car composite parts, from layout studies to patterns, moulds, tools, and jigs. You will also work on developing more efficient design processes and mentoring less experienced designers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the composite design process from conceptualization to detailed design, ensuring innovative and high-performance solutions.
  • Ensure all designed parts comply with F1 Technical Regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of lightweight, reliable, and aerodynamically efficient composite components.
  • Approve final design releases within your team when required.
  • Address reliability needs in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Provide remote support during race or track events as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in composite design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate composite designs into overall car development.
  • Work closely with team leaders to meet project deadlines and goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the team.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality materials and components.
  • Stay updated on advancements in composite materials and manufacturing processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in composite design, preferably in high-performance automotive or motorsports sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel 0-10%.
