Job summary

Vactor Mfg. Inc. in Streator, IL, is seeking a mechanical assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble components per drawings, read blueprints and hydraulic schematics, and operate cranes and hand tools to build sub-assemblies.

This full-time role requires at least two years of mechanical assembly experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and tolerance for prolonged postures. We offer a bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and a smoke-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and build tickets.
• Ability to operate overhead crane, hoist, miscellaneous air and electric hand tools.
• Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
