A leading engineering firm in Italy is seeking an Associate Engineer to develop firmware test plans and automate test systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in firmware and hardware testing, and be familiar with tools such as CANoE and CANdela. This full-time position requires a commitment to continuous improvement in testing processes.

Competenze

• At least 3 years of experience designing and/or testing firmware and/or hardware on microcontrollers.
• Experience with automatic testing system design and development.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment.

Overview

This will make you grow :

• Develop firmware test plans and implement test cases based on requirements from system and product teams in the entire Embedded SW design life-cycle (Unit, Integration, System Test).
• Automate test cases and develop test tools on various hardware platforms including development boards and products.
• Partner with development teams and multi-functional QA teams to triage, diagnose, debug issues, and derive root-cause.
• Drive continuous improvement of firmware test coverage and firmware release quality.

Responsibilities

• At least 3 years of experience designing and/or testing firmware and/or hardware on 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers.
• Designing and developing systems to support automatic testing.
• Testing experience with CANoE, CANdela, Cantata, Understand, and Eclair systems.
• Experience developing software testing tools and scripts.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment.
• Software validation process (Unit, Integration, System Test).

Qualifications

• Specific skills in SW and System testing (ISTQB Certification).
• Safety-critical SW design standards (Automotive SPICE, MISRA Development Guidelines, EN61508, ISO 26262).
