An established industry player is seeking a Utilities Process Engineer specializing in Green Technologies. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Chemical Engineering to design and optimize utilities systems for innovative projects, including Carbon Capture and Green Hydrogen Generation. Competenze

As a Utilities Process Engineer in the Business Line Robotics & Industrialised Solutions, focusing on Green Technologies (Carbon Capture, Plastic Recycling, Green Hydrogen Generation), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing Heat and Material Balances using simulation software
  • Creating Process Flow Diagrams to illustrate unit operations for converting feedstocks into products efficiently
  • Defining and sizing equipment and instrumentation, and preparing relevant Process Data sheets and Package Duty Specifications
  • Elaborating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Developing Cause and Effect Matrices
  • Creating Control Narratives and Logic Sequences
  • Performing hydraulic and thermal calculations on piping systems
  • Defining utilities requirements and designing associated systems
  • Specifying chemicals and catalysts, and preparing summaries
  • Estimating effluent quantities and characteristics for environmental disposal
  • Supporting the preparation of Operating Manuals and Test Run procedures
  • Implementing the contractual design philosophy
  • Ensuring the technical quality of calculations, simulations, and deliverables
  • Participating in multidisciplinary project reviews such as Plot Plan, P&IDs, HAZOP, 3D Modeling

  • Cooling Water System (with Cooling Tower)
  • Water Collection and Treatment

Qualifications:

Degree in Chemical Engineering

Language Skills:

Good command of English, both written and spoken

Experience:

3-10 years in the role, with direct experience designing utilities systems

IT Skills:

Office, Flarenet, BlueBeam, Aspen HYSYS, Navisworks

Soft Skills:

Teamwork, Problem-solving, Leadership

Additional Preferences:

Experience with international projects, plant commissioning, and startup support. Willingness to travel internationally. Main location: Milan, with flexibility for mobility.
