The Ultrasound Technologist performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, gynecologic scans, and other anatomic areas as required. He/she provides appropriate age-specific patient care to the following patient populations: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Qualifications:
Education
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Meets the requirements for registry by the ARDMS
Experience
One year minimum experience in ultrasound preferred
One year experience as a radiologic technologist preferred
Licensure/Certification
Current ARRT registry preferred
Current ARDMS registry required
Current ARDMS RVT preferred or obtained within 12 months of employment
Current BCLS certification
