Job summary

Nordex Group in Italy is seeking a field service technician to maintain and repair wind turbines on-site in Sardinia. You will perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults, and coordinate with the Service Coordinator to keep operations running smoothly.

Electrical and/or mechanical education is preferred; travel with overnight stays is common. You should be computer literate (MS Office) and able to use in-house systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical education required.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued.
• Teamwork and willingness to take responsibility.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including nights away from home.
• Computer-literate, able to use MS Office and in-house systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work at high altitudes and climb turbines.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).

Responsibilities

• Analyse defects with phone-contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously perform simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and faultfinding.
• Carry out planned maintenance/inspection activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists to inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and manage material on site.
• Monitor booked service reports and steer the service process to book expenses correctly.
