Job summary

Constance Ephelia, a luxury resort on Mahé, Seychelles, seeks an experienced Horticulturist to maintain and develop our tropical gardens and landscapes to a high standard.

You will oversee horticultural operations, monitor plant health, manage irrigation and soil fertility, implement sustainable practices, and train staff to ensure safety and quality while collaborating with management to align projects with guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in horticulture and landscape maintenance.
• Ability to design and implement landscape projects.
• Strong knowledge of plant health, pest control, and soil management.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, propagate, and maintain tropical and subtropical plants.
• Design, plan, and implement landscape projects enhancing guest experience.
• Monitor plant health, diagnose diseases, and manage pests and nutrition.
• Manage irrigation systems and water conservation practices.
• Conduct soil analysis and implement soil amendments and fertilisation.
• Oversee garden beds, pathways, water features, and landscaped areas.
• Supervise and train horticultural staff and ensure health and safety.
• Maintain records of plant inventory and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with management to align projects with objectives.
• Implement sustainable and organic gardening practices.
• Manage budgets and procurement of plants and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
