As a Beneficiary Services Representative, you will provide beneficiary education and enrollment services for the TRICARE Overseas Program under the Defense Health Agency. You will also provide specific services to all eligible beneficiaries, including beneficiary education and enrollment, designed to assist in operating an integrated healthcare delivery system overseas. Under minimal supervision, you will serve as a liaison for the beneficiary population. This role makes a difference for many military families!

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Verify benefits eligibility and process enrollments, disenrollments, portability transfers, using systems like Defense Online Enrollment System, Customer Relationship Manager, etc.
• Register beneficiaries in the MHS Genesis system
• Perform Primary Care Manager changes following Military Treatment Facility guidelines
• Provide education on resources, benefits, enrollment/disenrollment, and customer service to beneficiaries via phone and in person
• Manage transfer information for active-duty and family member portability/disenrollment processes
• Conduct briefings for In Processing, Out Processing, Maternity, pre-separation/retirement, etc.
• Assist with claims status inquiries
• Record health information into systems
• Assess assistance levels needed and escalate issues as appropriate
• Report daily activities
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
• Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
• Adhere to a business casual dress code
• Support onboarding of new BSRs
• Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR
• Associate’s degree + 4 years specialized experience OR
• Major certification + 4 years specialized experience OR
• High school diploma/GED + 8 years specialized experience

Additional requirements include SOFA/Command Sponsorship, US citizenship, valid Soggiorno and Missione visas, and eligibility for ADP IT III / Tier 1 position.

DESIRED SKILLS
