Job summary

AMFE Group is seeking an experienced Travelling Personal Chef to join our team as a self-employed contractor. The role is fully remote and involves global travel, luxury hospitality environments, and managing dynamic kitchen operations on tour.

You will design menus, lead kitchen staff, ensure dietary requirements are met, maintain budgets, and work closely with a tour manager and assistants to deliver exceptional experiences across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a chef, ideally in yachting/private travel.
• European passport holder.
• Experience in traveling roles is an advantage.
• Fluent English verbal and written communication.
• Excellent kitchen management and budgeting.
• Food safety oriented and comfortable with high-budget operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all kitchen operations including staff scheduling, stock, budgeting, and team management.
• Prepare and cook dishes ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
• Create menus and present them to the Principal.
• Motivate, train and coach the kitchen team.
• Collaborate with Tour Manager to plan moves and events.
• Work closely with Personal Assistants and service team.

We are looking for an experienced and meticulously organised Travelling Personal Chef to join our team.

NOTE:

This position is offered on a self-employed contractor basis, meaning successful candidates will operate as independent contractors, invoicing us for services rendered, rather than being employees on our company payroll. As the role is fully remote, you will be able to be self-employed wherever you reside.

Requirements will include:

• A minimum of three years' experience as a chef, ideally within a yachting, private household, or high-frequency travel environment.
• European passport holder.
• Previous experience in a traveling role would be an advantage
• Confident in preparing a wide range of international cuisines, with a specialist focus on Asian flavours.
• Advanced organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Be food safety oriented
• Be confident managing high-budget operations
• Excellent team management
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Offer professional practical aid in emergencies and be a source of reassurance for the team
• Ability to manage the taxing emotions on tour and provide practical and emotional support to the kitchen team
• The capability to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds with ease.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, to include but not limited to staff scheduling, stock management, budgeting and team management
• Prepare and cook dishes ensuring all dietary requirements and preferences are met
• Create menus and present them to the Principal
• Motivate, train and coach the kitchen team
• Ensure that Principal and guest's satisfaction is exceeded by responding to requests and providing exceptional serviceResponsible for lists of produce to be sourced taking into account challenges presented by different worldwide locations
• Manage the kitchen finances to ensure spendings are within the budget and wastage is minimised
• Collaborate with a Tour Manager to plan moves to next destination and special events
• Work closely with Personal Assistants, Service Team and other traveling household staff
