Job Title: Traveling Security Technician

Location: Nationwide - Full Time Travel

Pay Rate: $30-45/hr

Position Summary:

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Lead Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

The Lead Security Technician leads teams or crews in the installation and performs service for new equipment installation, repairs, and system upgrades. The role supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform installation and servicing of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and other related systems. Install, configure, and test equipment and devices to ensure completion.
2. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as necessary.
3. Upgrade and expand systems to enhance functionality and usability.
4. Perform programming for CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarms as needed.
5. Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
6. Read and interpret drawings and prints to install equipment accurately.
7. Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to the reporting systems.
8. Lead team members, delegate tasks, and demonstrate proper techniques.
9. Perform any required tasks to ensure project completion on any given day.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

1. Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
2. Good communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
3. Experience with IP-based security systems.
4. Reliable transportation for travel within the metroplex.
5. Knowledge of Software House, Open Options, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Salient, and Lenel systems is a plus.
6. Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
