TOC (Transportation Operation Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon Supply Chain network, supporting multiple geographies such as NA, India and EU. It ensures timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. In case of exceptions, TOC resolves issues and informs stakeholders. TOC also analyzes network data to identify trends and proposes process improvements to streamline operations, including automation where applicable. TOC plays a critical role in ensuring smooth transportation operations and timely customer service.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate flow of information between Trans Carriers, Hubs, and Warehouses and resolve issues affecting customer experience and business continuity across inbound and outbound operations.
• Inbound: ensure freight is picked up on time and delivered to the FC as per appointment; address issues during the lifecycle from pick-up to delivery.
• Outbound: ensure trucks leave the FC to deliver to the customer; address issues during the lifecycle from FC to customer premises.
• Research and query internal tools to provide timely resolutions and make real-time decisions to support customer experience.
• Analyze data to understand requirements, identify trends, and drive customer experience without compromising on time.
• Communicate clearly in written and oral form; ideate and drive process improvements.
• Pull data from multiple databases (Excel, Access, SQL, and other data management systems) for ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Develop and understand performance metrics to drive business results.
• Define business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams that support TOC tools and systems.
• Assess the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions; escalate problems to relevant owners and ensure resolutions are delivered.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while tracking activities performed.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication; summarize weekly findings and variances to goals for review forums.
• Provide real-time customer experience in a 24/7 operating environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.
• Experience with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SQL.
