Job Opportunity: Transport and Installation (T&I) Engineer at Technip Energies

If you share our dedication to a low-carbon future, consider joining our team. We are seeking a Transport and Installation (T&I) Engineer to report directly to the Modular Design Section Head at our Rome Operating Center, Italy.

Role Overview

You will be part of the Modular Design Section, responsible for managing proposals and delivering engineering designs—from basic to detailed engineering—of modularized onshore projects. Your key interactions will include internal teams such as Project, Procurement, Construction, and other engineering disciplines, as well as external clients, yard fabricators, and transport contractors.

Responsibilities
  • Define and manage all phases of T&I activities, including marine, lifting, survey positioning, and load-out activities, in coordination with the Project Lead and functional teams.
  • Support structural design of modules during land and sea transportation by defining transportation layouts and providing input data to structural engineers.
  • Develop lifting arrangements, SPMT layouts, deck layouts, and sea-fastening plans.
  • Design grillage and sea-fastening systems, lift points, and analyze load-out/load-in scenarios.
  • Design load-out beams and review technical documentation from transport contractors.
  • Issue and review requisitions, analyze bids, and manage purchase orders.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Naval Engineering.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international team.
  • Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with high precision and timeliness.
  • Willingness to undertake international mobility for short or long-term assignments.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD, Microstation, and Navisworks.
