We’re recruiting for a Transport Coordinator .
The purpose of this role is to coordinate transport processes that deliver value and ensure compliance.
Responsibilities include :
- Conduct daily driver briefings and debriefs, and identify and implement all improvement opportunities through PMS (driver performance improvements).
- Promote and embed the Muller safety culture using STAR cards, conduct safety sweeps, and support all accident / incident investigations.
- Maintain the site Run folder, ensuring all run changes are communicated.
- Follow breakdown management and recovery procedures for all MMID vehicles.
- Control site assets such as GKNs, trolleys, and hand-held devices.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Understand and ensure adherence to all work instructions and SOPs.
- Manage service level reporting, including customer service, shorts, and late reporting.
- Ensure resource allocation is adequate, reviewed regularly, and all drivers comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the site fuel master key and track usage.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing with the garage team.
- Oversee the Daily Tacho Master system to ensure driver compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and checks on trailers, including temperature controls.
- Manage cross-dock operations.
- Promote MMID behaviors among staff.
- Manage third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
Key Skills & Experience :
- Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong prioritization and deadline management skills.
- Positive, self-motivated attitude.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
