City of Brampton seeks a Transit Planning Coordinator to monitor and analyze existing transit service and infrastructure, and propose improvements aligned with Transit’s Service Guidelines. Develop short- and long-term service plans to shape budgets and resources, reviewing site plans and subdivision plans to support ridership growth and safety.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Planning, this role involves data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with internal staff to adjust

Competenze

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in urban planning, transportation or infrastructure planning or a related field.
• 3-5 years of analysis and planning experience, preferably in public sector and/or in transit industry.
• Research and analysis skills; ability to read statistical data.
• Understanding of corporate planning and strategic/business planning processes.
• Ability to use computer software and data systems.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, subdivision plans, engineering drawings, etc.

Mansioni

• Analyse data and make recommendations for change; monitor route performance and ridership trends.
• Prepare technical reports for recommended service hours and budget to meet resident needs.
• Review development applications and ensure transit implications are considered.
• Manage on-street transit infrastructure and coordinate assets and budgets.
• Coordinate surveys, gather feedback, and address public inquiries about service changes.
