The Role

For our Private Client and Tax team in Milan, we are seeking a well-organised and driven Trainee Lawyer (_Praticante Avvocato_).

Key elements of the role
  • Conducting legal research
  • Drafting legal memos
  • Helping with business development activities, supporting the preparation of pitches and tenders
  • Managing, reviewing and analysing documents
  • Assisting with client events
  • Producing accurate, high-quality work quickly and efficiently, utilising the firm's software packages and document management systems
  • Upon request, preparing first drafts of terms of engagement letters; using electronic file opening, ensuring AML requirements are adhered to and requesting necessary Know Your Client documentation
  • Other general administrative tasks
Key skills and experience
  • Graduate in Law (graduated in Italy and eligible to be a_ Praticante Avvocato_)
  • Outstanding academic record (at least 102 / 110)
  • Fluency in both Italian and English (C1 level of English is required)
  • Demonstrated interest in, or prior experience with, private international law; a postgraduate master’s degree in the field is considered a nice to have
  • An interest in tax planning and domestic / international taxation matters is considered a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and engaged attitude with excellent people skills and a clear communication style
  • Strong research abilities
  • Teamwork is essential and you will frequently collaborate with colleagues in our overseas offices
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
