Expected contribution: The candidate plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the Duracell business in Italy by mastering in-market performance analysis, developing and executing product strategies, and collaborating with other teams to achieve overall company goals. The candidate is responsible for the deployment, execution, and follow-up of the Duracell commercial and in-store strategies by channel/customer, sales support, and managing merchandising agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pricing and promotional strategy: Define approaches for Italian customers based on product tier and channel, ensuring compliance with European & African central guidelines, deploying it to sales teams, and equipping them for execution.
- Promotional Displays: Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and sales teams to design, produce, and manage promotional displays based on promotional calendars by customer to increase brand awareness, drive sales, and improve market share.
- Sales Support: Develop trade promotional programs (incentives, hostesses, premiums, trade shows) and campaigns to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Campaign Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement.
- Concept Development: Create tailored concepts for channels and customers.
- Sales Aids: Develop sales aids for customers.
- Team Management: Manage and coordinate sales merchandisers and replenishers, deploying commercial strategies and ensuring in-store execution through training, guidance, and KPI measurement.
Required Competencies and Capabilities:
- 4-5 years' experience in Trade Marketing within FMCG companies.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of the Italian trade landscape.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Nielsen / IRI analysis.

- Can travel frequently within Italy and to Rome (up to 25%).
- Proficient in Italian and English; Spanish is a plus.

Contract Details:
Permanent, full-time position. Reporting to the Southern Europe Marketing Director. Starting date: May 2024.
