Your tasks

The Technical Project Lead is responsible for the success of the project and leads all development and technical project management activities related to the project in the R&D of Cairo M. In projects involving multiple Continental R&D locations, collaborates with the project Core Team.

The TPL oversees the technical planning and tracking of engineering disciplines to achieve defined maturity levels within the set time (milestones) and budget constraints. She/he plans, drives, and coordinates all product engineering activities, including requirements, architecture, design, functional simulation, and analysis, ensuring feasibility, maturity monitoring, risk mitigation, and problem resolution.

Your profile

Engineering Planning and Tracking:

  • Define, plan, and coordinate engineering activities to meet technical requirements based on State-of-the-Art Systems Engineering approaches.
  • Create and update Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedules aligned with milestones.
  • Estimate effort and support cost and budget estimations.

System Engineering and Design:

  • Coordinate stakeholder requirement analysis and alignment.
  • Drive requirements engineering, functional simulations, analyses, and consolidate results.

Mechanical Component and Detailed Design:

  • Lead structural simulations, design creation, and manufacturing documentation.

Integration & Verification Test:

  • Ensure traceability and coverage of requirements in testing.

Product Maturity and Risk Management:

  • Monitor product maturity, support risk management, and define mitigation plans.

Engineering Release Management:

  • Create and manage release plans, documentation, and actions.

Stakeholder and Collaboration Management:

  • Build positive relationships, collaborate with teams, and ensure project delivery.

Conflict and Escalation Management:

  • Escalate issues related to support, conflicts, and risks.

Supplier Management:

  • Coordinate activities with suppliers at the technical interface.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Drive supply chain alignment, support change and claim management, perform structured problem solving, and ensure compliance with standards and processes.
