Job summary

JD Sports, a leading urban fashion retailer, is seeking a Town Merchandiser to oversee stores in the Milan North Area and act as the point of contact for visual support. You will guide the VM team to create compelling displays and maximise sales while supporting the Retail team to drive profitability.

You will collaborate with area managers, update window displays, analyse weekly sales, and implement seasonal display changes.

Qualifications

• Visual merchandising experience and retail management skills would be advantageous.
• Excellent Leadership and Time Management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Showcase up and coming trends through product in store to maximise sales.
• Implement weekly VM pack guidelines in store where applicable.
• Refresh packages to showcase best-selling product as well as new styles to the business.
• Update window displays weekly to show the consumer the latest on trend, best-selling product of the week.
• Analyse sales figures such as weekly Trade reports (branch review, top 10 by brand) to ensure store layout is commercially correct.
• Continually think ahead, be proactive with new seasonal changes, peak trade initiatives and commercial awareness.
• Creating appealing and eye-catching displays that lead the customer through the store.
• Support Area Visual Manager with any area information as and when needed.
• Support stores with any larger layout changes outside of trading hours.
• Support stores with VM E-Learning Modules to ensure all are up to date.
• Co-Head shop-fits for progression purposed as and when needed to do so.
• Effectively execute new window displays when new campaigns launch.
• Consistently communicate with Visual Support Manager & Area Manager regarding your stores.
• Build excellent communication with Store Managers and In-Store teams as well as area teams.

Role Overview

The Town Merchandiser is accountable for a number of stores in the Milan North Area, being the point of contact for visual support. You will monitor and encourage your visual team to create leading visual merchandising displays. Further to this you will support the Retail team, encouraging progression while making sure that you are maximising store profitability at every opportunity.
