You’ll take a key role in designing and developing tooling solutions for composite parts, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver precision and repeatability at scale.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in tooling design for composite manufacturing
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including prepreg layup, autoclave, and RTM

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
  • Experience designing for aerospace or motorsport applications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative composite tooling including molds, fixtures, jigs, and trimming tools.
  • Work with project engineers to ensure tooling designs meet functional, quality, and cost targets.
  • Prepare detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Support DFM/DFA analysis and collaborate with manufacturing during tool validation.
  • Optimize designs for repeatability, thermal expansion, and ease of maintenance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tooling standards, templates, and design processes.
