The position is open for students preparing their Master thesis (cell biology, biotechnology, neuroscience or related disciplines) for a period of 10 months.

Tasks

The student will gain practical experience in scientific work by performing experimental work and data analysis. Specifically, the experimental part will include:

• iPSC culture
• Differentiation of iPSCs into 3D brain organoids
• Real-time PCR and Western blot
• Biochemical assays

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of molecular and cellular biology
• Experience in cell culture work and basic molecular laboratory techniques
• Previous experience in iPSC culture and differentiation is an advantage
• Good command of English; knowledge of German or Italian is an advantage
• Strong social skills, hands-on attitude, and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to develop new skills and explore innovative ideas
