Responsibilities

Execute tests defined in the Design Validation Plan (DVP) for prototype development.
Perform functionality tests on first prototype developments and durability tests for performance evaluation.
Ensure health, safety and environment compliance for tests and personnel.
Evaluate feasibility, compliance and costs of tests and requests in the DVP.
Design test equipment with 3D CAD or support external suppliers in equipment design.
Manage production of equipment via qualified suppliers ensuring timely delivery.
Support assembly, calibrate measurement chains, and design test cycles per customer requirements.
Plan tests to meet deadlines and conduct tests and inspections as planned.
Draft test reports after disassembly and component analysis and update technical areas.

Position

We are looking for a Testing & Validation Intern for our Mechatronic Research Center.

The candidate, reporting to the Testing & Validation Supervisor, will be responsible for the following activities:

Execution of the tests defined in the DVP (Design Validation Plan):
functionality test for the first prototype development
durability test for product performance evaluation;
Respect of the health, safety and environment. Personal and of the staff involved in the tests execution;
Evaluate the compliance, feasibility and costs of the tests defined in the DVP or other specific requests;
Design the test equipment with 3D CAD and / or support the design of the same when it is performed by external companies;
Manage the production of equipment through qualified suppliers ensuring the compliance with the delivery times;
Support the assembly of equipment; define and calibrate the measurement chain;
Design the test cycle according to the customer's requirements;
Plan the tests ensuring the compliance with the agreed deadlines;
Conduct the tests and perform the planned inspections;
Draw up test reports after the disassembly and the relevant component analysis;
Continuously update the internal / external technical areas;
Update standard test specifications.
