  • Test Technician I (6 months contract)
  • Omnicell is seeking a Test Technician for our Engineering team. The role involves analyzing test requirements and executing tests in compliance with standards and regulations for IV solution products. Typical tests include system testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, technical architecture testing, and security/safety testing.

    The Test Technician documents and tracks software bugs and hardware defects identified during testing, collaborating with developers and support engineers to improve products and processes.

    • Responsibilities
    • Perform tests following standards and regulations for IV Solution products using manual and automated techniques.
    • Work with hardware engineers and software developers to test new hardware/software components and resolve issues.
    • Accurately record data and results, including software bugs and hardware defects.
    • Collaborate on documentation and training with cross-functional teams.
    • Contribute to defining, improving, and implementing quality assurance practices.
    • Maintain and calibrate equipment according to approved procedures.
    • Follow health and safety guidelines strictly.
    • Identify opportunities for process and product improvement.
    • Train team members on testing techniques and automation.
    • Adhere to company policies to ensure product quality and integrity.

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong analytical skills and judgment.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Proficiency with personal computers and peripherals.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience with performance and/or security testing.
    • Knowledge of quality systems and standards such as ISO, Six Sigma, IEC, IEEE (a plus).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in healthcare or medical device software testing.
    • Ability to use measuring tools (rules, tapes, calipers, gages).
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
    • Basic electrical knowledge.

    Work Conditions:

    • Onsite presence required.
    • Travel up to 10% of the time.
