Job Description:

RINA is currently recruiting for a Test System and Equipment Technician to join its office in Rome within the Electronics and Systems Engineering Division.

Mission

This role is focused on providing technical support throughout various projects and laboratory activities to ensure efficient project progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform activities related to the assembly, production, and verification of electronic devices, special tools, test equipment, PCB test fixtures, and test equipment;
• Conduct quality checks on newly delivered equipment to ensure proper operation;
• Maintain warranty, service, and repair records;
• Order and maintain inventory of parts for electronic equipment production;
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing and availability of needed parts;
• Repair faulty components and products;
• Maintain electronic laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

Qualifications:

Professional Certificate in Electronics or related field.

The successful candidate will also contribute to preparing technical documentation, including data packages, production packages, and acceptance test reports.

Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of electronic and electromechanical theory, repair, maintenance, and adjustment of specialized electronic equipment.

Skills in using precision tools, laboratory equipment, and safety procedures are essential. Knowledge of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fluency in English are required. Additional advantageous skills include knowledge of laboratory and electronic test equipment, soldering skills (IPC certification preferred), and familiarity with engineering software tools like Altium Designer, AutoCAD, and Inventor. A minimum of two years' experience in electronic components' fault-finding, repair, and maintenance is preferred.
