RED Global is seeking an Automation Tester (Python) to join the QA team. This 12-month contract offers 100% remote work from Italy, requiring English language proficiency. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions, with strong Python and Robot Framework experience in an Agile setting.

The role emphasizes improving test coverage, automation efficiency, API validation, and integration into CI/CD pipelines. P.Iva/B2B/ Freelance/ Contract options available.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of professional software testing experience with significant test automation.
• Experience in software development or test automation.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Robot Framework or willingness to learn it.
• Good knowledge of Python for developing Robot Framework test suites.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Basic knowledge of API testing (REST/JSON/HTTP) and tools like Postman.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
• Experience with or willingness to work with test automation frameworks.

We are looking for a Automation Test Engineer to join the QA team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, Python, and software testing principles, with the ability to develop and maintain automated test suites using Robot Framework. You will work closely with development and QA teams within an Agile environment, helping to improve test coverage, quality, and automation efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework.
• Develop and maintain custom Robot Framework libraries and automation scripts.
• Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and automated test cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers and other QA team members to resolve issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing strategies, and automation frameworks.
• Perform API testing and validate REST APIs, JSON payloads, and HTTP requests/responses.
• Integrate and execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Git and established version-control workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support the expansion of automated testing coverage and promote best practices across the QA team.

Skills

Must have

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software testing, with significant exposure to test automation.
• Experience with software development or test automation.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with or willingness to work with Robot Framework.
• Good knowledge of Python, including scripting and automation concepts, to develop and maintain Robot Framework test suites and custom libraries.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Basic knowledge of API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP) and tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or similar).
• Experience working with test automation frameworks or the willingness to learn them.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tosca or other no-code/low-code test automation tools is considered a strong advantage.
