Job Summary:

The position provides tactical sales support for Ingersoll Rand Compressors Europe division, focusing on centrifugal compressors. Responsibilities include application guidance, competitive positioning, specification review, and pricing/delivery support. Fluency in English and Spanish is required for analyzing customer requests, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and interacting with sales teams and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Support sales in product application based on customer requirements.
• Develop competitive and solution strategies with sales teams to position Ingersoll Rand solutions and capture orders.
• Create proposals by reviewing customer requisitions, selecting appropriate compressors, obtaining vendor quotes, and preparing comprehensive proposals in the local language, including delivery and pricing details.
• Provide technical guidance to align customer requirements, interface with engineering for special requests, and support sales efforts as a technical resource.
• Coordinate between sales and factories during the tendering process.
• Assist in converting contract requirements into order documentation.
• Support order entry and management to ensure accurate processing.
• Participate in project kick-offs and host customer visits during tendering phases.

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of experience in application engineering, contract engineering, product management, or sales, preferably in rotating equipment or industrial markets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of centrifugal compressor technology or similar rotating equipment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Italian is not mandatory.
• Team player with good technical aptitude and commercial awareness.
• Ability to think objectively, fostering collaboration within and outside the organization.

Travel Requirements:

Approximately 10% travel expected.

Job Location:

The role can be based in Vignate or, after training in Italy, in Madrid, Spain, especially for candidates experienced with centrifugal compressor products.
