Inside the Ground Segment and Systems Engineering Area in Rome, we are looking for a System Integrator to be assigned to the System Deployment and Qualification Unit.
He/She will participate in the integration and verification of Ground Segments for Space Missions, in an integrated AIV team for the preparation and execution of the test campaigns of complex systems.

Activities/Responsibilities
  1. Setup, configure and maintain test, reference and target platforms
  2. Install and update COTS and application SW
  3. Develop and maintain the supporting environments and tools
  4. Integrate the application SW and verify the correct behavior
  5. Prepare and execute test procedures using the approved AIV plans and in agreement with the test campaigns
  6. Contribute to Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Test Review Board meetings (TRBs)
  7. Prepare scripts and/or tools aiming to support SW deployment, Test Execution and Test Results collection
  8. Support the anomalies investigation and analysis
  9. Contribute to scheduling, preparation and execution of the AIV campaigns
Qualifications / Experience
  1. Master's Degree or equivalent from an institution of higher education in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
  2. At least 4 years of experience
Essential Skills
  1. Experience in the area of complex Systems Integration, Verification and Validation
  2. Knowledge of software verification and validation techniques
  3. Experience in system engineering activities
  4. Good knowledge of Linux and Windows
  5. Good knowledge of Virtual Environments (KVM, VMWare, esxi, vsphere, openstack)
  6. Good knowledge of shell scripting
  7. Good English knowledge
Desirable Skills
  1. Knowledge of space and ground system engineering processes, and system and software life-cycles and standards (e.g. ECSS)
  2. Knowledge of Agile/DevOps models and related testing approach (e.g. Jenkins)
  3. Knowledge of containers technology and related environments (e.g. Dockers, Kubernetes)
  4. Knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructure and applications, microservices architectures
  5. Knowledge of Networking
  6. Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python)
  7. Knowledge of database
