A reputable healthcare provider in Catania is looking for a certified Prosthetist/Orthotist. Responsibilities include patient evaluations, custom device fitting, and interaction with healthcare staff. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics and experience in the field. The position offers a salary starting from €40,000 per year, full-time and permanent.

Competenze

• Must be a Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist certified by the American Board for Certification.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Mansioni

• Conduct patient evaluations and document in OPIE.
• Handle hand casting and scanning.
• Perform marketing activities including visits to hospitals.

Descrizione del lavoro

Core Responsibilities

1. Patient evaluations and detailed notation in OPIE
2. Hand casting / Scanning for all amputation levels and custom Prosthetic & Orthotic devices
3. Modifications, diagnostic fittings, delivery, and follow-up, including hospital visits for evaluation and delivery of post-op devices
4. Providing support at the hospital for staff orthotists as needed
5. Performing Prosthetic / Orthotic marketing activities, which may include visiting referral sources, hospitals, clinics, and engaging with physicians and providing in-services
6. Interacting with physicians and therapists regarding patient needs and treatment plans
7. Patient and family education
8. Other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist, Certified Prosthetist, Certified Orthotist, or board eligible by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics & Orthotics
• Master's Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from an accredited university
• 3-5 years of experience preferred but not required
