RF Laboratory Technician (with PCB Soldering Skills)
An RF Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting the development, testing, and troubleshooting of RF (Radio Frequency) systems and components. This role requires hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment and strong proficiency in soldering surface-mount and through-hole components onto PCBs. The technician works closely with engineers to assemble prototypes, conduct tests, and ensure the proper functioning of RF circuits and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and solder electronic components (SMD and THT) on printed circuit boards (PCBs) with high precision.
• Support the setup and execution of RF tests, including signal integrity, impedance matching, and noise measurements.
• Operate and maintain RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on electronic assemblies and RF modules.
• Document test procedures, results, and observations accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement design changes and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and ESD (electrostatic discharge) handling procedures.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in soldering fine-pitch components under a microscope.
• Familiarity with RF fundamentals and measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and layout drawings.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity for precision assembly work.
