Technology Area Manager Papermaking

About the role:

As a Technology Area Manager Papermaking, you will support global projects, translating operational needs into engineering solutions. You will collaborate with manufacturing sites, vendors, and stakeholders to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading papermaking technology projects from initiation to validation.
• Defining technical specifications and supporting vendor negotiations.
• Reviewing designs, validating operations, and supporting startup phases.
• Conducting feasibility studies and managing risks.
• Developing Capex and technical requirements.
• Developing suppliers and ensuring quality standards.
• Monitoring project performance and continuous improvement.
• Training and coaching team members and sharing best practices.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical, Papermaking, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in papermaking processes, project management, or vendor roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, AutoCAD, and 3D modelling tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
• Willingness to travel; relocation not required.
• Fluent in English; CV must be in English.
