Aretè & Cocchi Technology is seeking a Technician to join the Translational Pharmacology Facility at IIT Genoa. The role centers on in vivo efficacy models and PK studies, supporting preclinical programs and collaborating across disciplines.

The successful candidate will perform animal handling and surgical procedures, establish disease models, and characterize PK properties while contributing to data interpretation and reporting within a highly interdisciplinary environment.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Biology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related disciplines.

THE ROLE

As the selected candidate, you will work as technician within the Translational Pharmacology Facility, coordinated by Dr. Maria Summa.

We are seeking a highly motivated Technician to join our research team, with a strong focus on in vivo efficacy models and pharmacokinetic (PK) studies.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development, optimization, and execution of preclinical studies aimed at evaluating novel therapeutic candidates. Key responsibilities include the establishment and application of appropriate animal disease models, performance of surgical procedures, and pharmacokinetic characterization of compounds and biomaterials.

Working primarily with murine models, the technician will support the pharmacological profiling of new drug candidates through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data. The role will involve close collaboration with scientists from multiple disciplines to advance translational research programs.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary and innovative research environment, combining translational pharmacology, in vivo pharmacology, and drug development across a range of therapeutic areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree in Biology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related disciplines.
• Previous hands-on experience with in vivo procedures on laboratory animals.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetics principles and related laboratory techniques.
• Surgical skills on animal models.
• Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a team and in an interdisciplinary environment.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Previous experience in an academic or research institute setting.
• FELASA certification.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for animal experimentation (D.Lgs. 26/2014).

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• A yearly gross salary ranging between 28.000 and 35.000, which may include a bonus option depending on your role and contract
