Job summary

hosco_abroad is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our hotel's maintenance team. The role focuses on routine repairs, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Ideal candidates have hotel or facilities maintenance experience, basic electrical/plumbing knowledge, and a commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality, or facilities maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair technical faults efficiently.
• Electrical Licence A or relevant certification will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Perform routine technical repairs and fault finding across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Timely Execution: Carry out maintenance tasks and repairs in a timely and professional manner to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems as directed by management.
• Reporting &, Follow-up: Report issues and follow up on work orders and maintenance requests through the appropriate channels.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance: Support preventive maintenance programs and assist with maintaining HVAC, lighting, and water systems.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen, laundry, and operational appliances and machinery are maintained in full working order.
• Safety &, Compliance: Assist in maintaining building safety systems according to hotel standards and regulations.
• Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and strictly follow safety procedures to prevent accidents.
