A renewable energy company in Monza is seeking a Project Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in Italy. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and skills in project management, AutoCAD, and PVSys. Responsibilities include coordinating project design, communicating with engineering firms, and supervising external co-development. The ideal candidate should demonstrate teamwork skills and effective communication in English.

Overview

The Project Engineer would have knowledge about preliminary projects for access and connection projects (PV, PV + Storage system) and connection infrastructures. Knowledge of Low, Medium and High voltage infrastructures. Also knowledge in project design (Drawings, Electrical calculation, BOQ, reports). Design of overhead lines, underground lines, switching and transformer centers, and substations. Experience in leading and coordinating external engineering for renewable projects and interconnection infrastructures. The candidate should work closely with the development team. Additional valuable experience in BESS projects.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the project design and communications with other engineering companies.
• Coordinate and plan the activity, achieving the policies defined by the company strategic plan.
• Supervise third party engineers' co-development and potential improvements in each investment opportunity.
• Evaluate the status of the projects during the development phase.
• Coordinate with procurement and cost evaluation.
• Effectively and professionally manage relations with all the companies involved (engineering firms, EPC, module manufacturers/investors, developers, utilities, landowners, etc.).

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical, civil or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in the same position in Italy.
• Understanding of ‘greenfield’ development process for solar PV and storage projects (including site control, securing interconnection, permitting process, etc.). Good knowledge of associated engineering development costs.
• Management – Good Project Management skills and knowledge of AutoCAD, PVSys, Google Earth, IMDEXA or similar, software for substation basic design.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills; ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Any other language skills will be a plus but not mandatory.
