Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is part of Danaher's Diagnostics Companies, working together to address major health challenges with innovative diagnostic tools that improve patient lives.

We are seeking a dedicated Hardware Automation System Technical Support Specialist with extensive experience in hardware systems within the Medical Device industry. This role is vital in providing timely and effective technical support for our diagnostic hardware products, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, to ensure high customer satisfaction and optimal product performance. The specialist will also proactively improve service efficiency across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide expert-level support for diagnostic hardware systems, including instruments, devices, and peripherals. Knowledge of immunoassay systems is a plus.
    • Assist local engineers in diagnosing and resolving hardware issues via support channels (phone, email, chat, remote access, on-site visits).
    • Guide engineers through troubleshooting with clear communication.
  2. Customer Assistance:
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries requiring support from local engineers, including virtual and on-site support.
    • Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions accurately in the support ticketing system.
    • Follow up to ensure issues are resolved and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  3. Product Knowledge and Training:
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the diagnostic hardware product line, including specifications, functionalities, and common issues.
    • Stay informed about new product releases and industry advancements.
    • Develop and deliver training for customers and internal teams to enhance understanding and usage of hardware systems.
  4. Quality and Improvement:
    • Monitor support metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with R&D and Quality Assurance to provide feedback on hardware performance and reliability.
    • Contribute to the development of support documentation and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support for hardware systems in diagnostics or medical devices.
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic hardware, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving complex hardware issues.
  • Strong communication skills in English and either Italian or Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with support ticketing systems, remote support tools, and CRM software.
Working Conditions:
  • Remote role with travel within Europe (~70%) to client sites and meetings.
