As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead industrial projects in a demanding chemical environment (SEVESO, ATEX, HAZOP, etc.). You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the preliminary design phases (basic/detailed design) to the commissioning and handover of installations, coordinating studies, procurement, construction, and start-up activities.
You play a key role as an interface between technical teams, operators, subcontractors, and support functions (HSE, maintenance, production, etc.).
Engineering & Design
Lead feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and technical definition of installations (revamping, new works, compliance upgrades, etc.)
Draft or validate technical specifications
Project Management
Develop schedules, identify critical milestones, monitor budgets, and coordinate internal and external resources
Track progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions
Execution Supervision
Oversee supplier consultations, purchasing, construction activities, and testing
Ensure quality, timelines, and cost control throughout all phases
Safety & Compliance
Integrate HSE requirements from the design phase
Participate in risk analyses (HAZOP, FMEA, etc.) and ensure compliance with regulations (ICPE, ATEX, etc.)
Interface & Coordination
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, HSE, and quality teams
Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers
Communicate with internal stakeholders (steering committees, management, operations)
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure proper project documentation (tender packages, as-built files, progress reports) and deliver expected outputs at each phase
Provide regular reporting to management
