Technical Project Lead

Hartmann Young is partnered with an innovative spin-out from the University of Milan, revolutionising the way gluten content is measured in food. They are seeking a Technical Project Lead to work alongside the CEO and CSO to bring their device to market.

The role

The Project Lead will ensure project feasibility in collaboration with the Management team, lead the project team, and coordinate with key external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define the project scope and feasibility, including the problem addressed and implementation phases.
• Plan resources and budget, identifying investments and aligning with available funds.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, ensuring clear roles, communication, and progress tracking.
• Engage stakeholders, negotiating objectives, methods, and resources with management and key actors.
• Drive project execution and outcomes, making decisions, monitoring progress, and ensuring goals are met.

The person

• Academic background in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry at Masters or PhD level.
• Knowledge of IVD analytical techniques such as ELISA, PCR, Spectrometry, Clinical Chemistry, or Immunohistochemistry.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB).
• Expertise in biosensors and electrochemistry.
• Fluency in Italian and English; French is a plus.
• Strong skills in data analytics, modelling, and statistics are preferred.
