Technical Product Specialist

A crucial part of our Company is represented by our Global Buying Offices, where resident buyers and sourcers purchase goods locally and scout regional markets looking for exciting products for our stores. Global Buying Offices in Europe are present in Italy, UK, Portugal, Spain and we have Associates also in Poland and the Netherlands.

Technical Product Specialist Job Summary

Working from our satellite office, you will collaborate closely with buyers to manage and ensure the quality of products from the initial sample phase through to the final sign-off. Your role will be crucial in monitoring and resolving product quality issues, overseeing merchandise orders, and ensuring compliance with safety, labeling, and packaging standards for the U.S., Canada, and Australia markets.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Identify quality and technical issues by reviewing samplesfrom vendors. Gain product insights by visiting factories or stores.
• Conduct quality checks on product samples and ensure compliance with safety, labeling, and packaging standards.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to proactively address potential quality issues.
• Track production updates, conduct quality spot checks at vendor warehouses, and report on issues and resolutions to Senior Management.
• Stay informed about TJX standards, industry practices, and regulatory requirements for designated product categories and markets.
• Conduct business travel and vendor visits as needed to ensure quality standards are met.

Job Requirements:

• High level of understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Italian and English is essential.
• Relevant experience in quality control, as inspector of pre-production samples in one of the following product categories: apparel, garment, fabric, leather goods, shoes.
