Job summary

EthosEnergy Group seeks a Technical Field Advisor (Controls) to join our Global Field Service team. You will support maintenance and retrofit of gas turbine controls across customer sites worldwide, including Siemens, Fiat/Westinghouse, and GE packages.

The role requires traveling up to 70%, leading site teams, coordinating with customers, and delivering detailed site reports. Fluency in Italian and English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with gas turbines and controls in a service environment.
• Proficient in PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel globally to project sites including onshore and offshore.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and retrofit work on turbines.
• Provide technical support for controls retrofit projects.
• Lead site teams and coordinate with customers and stakeholders.
• Prepare site visit reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate with Commercial teams on requirements and briefings.
• Contribute to development of controls retrofit solutions.
• Represent EthosEnergy in customer and site meetings.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Field Advisor (Controls) to join our Global Field Service team.
In this role you will assist the maintenance of OEM & o-OEM Gas Turbines (Fiat, Westinghouse and GE) across our customer sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Travel globally to execute projects at onshore, offshore, and remote customer sites.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and retrofit work on Siemens, Fiat/Westinghouse, and GE rotating machinery.
• Provide technical expertise and preparatory support for controls retrofit projects before, during, and after site execution.
• Lead site teams and coordinate effectively with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Complete detailed site-visit reports and supporting project documentation.
• Coordinate with Commercial teams on customer documentation, project requirements, and briefings.
• Contribute to the development of controls retrofit solutions.
• Serve as an EthosEnergy representative during customer and site meetings.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Willingness to travel worldwide up to 70%.
• Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Fiat, Westinghouse, and GE gas turbine packages.
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and customer requirements.
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong leadership, supervision, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet required medical and reference checks.
• Fluent in Engish and either Italian or German mandatory.
• Proficiency in French advantegeous but not essential.

Experience

• Experience maintaining Gas Turbines turbomachinery, in a Service environment
• Controls / C&I Focus, mechanical ability desirable – Controls is primary focus.
• Knowledge, Siemens PCS7 / S7, ABB, MarkV and MarkVI experience desirable.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics) or a related technical field experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel and work onshore, offshore
• Successful applicants will need to evidence proof of Right To Work in EU and pass a pre-employment medical standards, including drug & alcohol testing.
• Fluent in Engish and either Italian or German mandatory.
• Proficiency in French advantegeous but not essential.
