About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to join our renewables development team, focusing on solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical schemes, ensuring compliance with grid connection requirements and national regulations. This is a unique opportunity to lead the technical design efforts initially as a sole contributor, with the potential to build and manage a dedicated team as the portfolio grows.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical schemes for solar PV and BESS projects.
• Lead grid connection design activities, including detailed technical studies and interfacing with grid operators.
• Ensure all designs comply with Italian regulatory standards and grid codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and external consultants to support project execution and permitting processes.
• Monitor and incorporate updates to relevant regulations, standards, and grid connection requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports to support project approvals and stakeholder engagement.
• Initially operate independently to manage technical design tasks, evolving into a leadership role responsible for building and mentoring a technical team.

Qualifications and Experience :

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Proven experience designing HV and MV electrical schemes, preferably within the renewable energy sector.

Solid understanding of grid connection processes and requirements in Italy.

In-depth knowledge of Italian regulatory frameworks related to renewable energy grid integration.

Experience working with utilities and grid operators is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication skills in English and Italian (preferred).

Leadership potential with a motivation to grow into a team-building role.
