Role Overview

We are expanding our support team at ClickHouse to provide exceptional service globally. We seek a Technical Support Engineer for our Support Engineering team. This customer-facing role involves interactions via chat, calls, Slack, and virtual meetings. You will handle a variety of tasks, from triaging support tickets to assisting with pre- and post-sales activities, collaborating on technical POCs, and proposing support process improvements. This role is ideal for someone eager to contribute to our customer support excellence as our user base grows.

Responsibilities
  • Support and guide users, customers, and prospects through cases, chat, Slack, community forums, and meetings.
  • Develop solutions based on ClickHouse Cloud and open-source, sharing knowledge via documentation, blogs, webinars, and training.
  • Collaborate with Support Services, Engineering, Go-to-Market, and Product teams to define user and customer requirements.
  • Mentor, train, and share expertise with colleagues, users, and customers.
Core Expectations
  • Provide excellent customer service as a first-line technical engineer, ensuring timely responses within SLAs across various communication channels.
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
Qualifications
  • Technical expertise in ClickHouse, SQL databases, OLAP, cloud-native SaaS, or distributed systems.
  • Experience as Support Engineer, Consultant, DBA, SRE, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
  • Availability for 24x7 support in a global, distributed environment.
  • Strong English communication skills and ability to work remotely with reliable connectivity.
  • Team-oriented, empathetic, proactive, and eager to learn and grow.
  • Experience with ClickHouse, OSS technologies, and cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ.
