Role Overview

We are expanding our support team at ClickHouse, providing excellent service globally. We seek a Technical Support Engineer for our Support Engineering team. This customer-facing role involves interactions via chat, calls, Slack, and virtual meetings. Responsibilities include triaging support tickets, community support, assisting pre- and post-sales activities, collaborating on POCs with our Go To Market team, and proposing support process improvements. It's an excellent opportunity for someone eager to deliver top-tier customer support to a growing user base.

Responsibilities
  • Support and guide users, customers, and prospects through cases, chat, Slack, community, and meetings.
  • Create solutions based on ClickHouse Cloud and open-source, sharing via documentation, blogs, webinars, and training.
  • Collaborate with Support Services, Engineering, Go to Market, and Product Management to define needed functionalities.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with colleagues, users, and customers.
Additional Expectations
  • Deliver excellent customer service as a first-line technical engineer, adhering to SLAs through various communication channels.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships internally and externally.
Qualifications
  • Technical experience in ClickHouse or related domains like SQL, OLAP, cloud-native SaaS, distributed systems.
  • Previous roles such as Support Engineer, Consultant, DBA, SRE, Solutions Engineer, or Software Engineer.
  • Availability for 24x7 support in a global, distributed environment.
  • Strong English communication skills and remote work reliability.
  • Team-oriented mindset, empathy, problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for building scalable, high-performing databases.
  • Experience with ClickHouse, OSS technologies, and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Knowledge of data pipelines like Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ.
