Role Overview

We are expanding our support team at ClickHouse, providing excellent service to our global customer base. We seek a Technical Support Engineer to join our Support Engineering team. This customer-facing role involves interactions via chat, calls, Slack, and virtual meetings. You will handle a variety of tasks, from triaging support tickets to engaging with the user community, supporting pre- and post-sales activities, collaborating on POCs with our Go To Market team, and suggesting improvements to our support processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to our customer support excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Support and guide users, customers, and prospects through cases, chat, Slack, community forums, and meetings.
  • Develop solutions based on ClickHouse Cloud and open-source versions, sharing knowledge via documentation, blogs, meetups, webinars, and training.
  • Collaborate with Support Services, Engineering, Go to Market, and Product Management teams to define user requirements.
  • Mentor, train, and share knowledge with colleagues, users, and customers.
Additional Expectations
  • Deliver excellent customer service as a first-line technical engineer, adhering to SLAs via ticketing systems, email, Slack, chat, and phone.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.
Qualifications
  • Technical expertise in ClickHouse, SQL databases, OLAP, cloud-native SaaS, or distributed systems.
  • Previous experience as Support Engineer, Consultant, DBA, SRE, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
  • Availability to provide high-quality 24x7 support in a distributed environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, reliable remote connectivity.
  • Team-oriented mindset, empathy, problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for building scalable, high-performing databases.
  • Experience with OSS and open-source contributions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Knowledge of data pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ).
